The modernization of primary health care was discussed at the weekly operational meeting of the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Yuri Bezdudny.

New equipment has already been installed and almost completely put into operation at the Nenets District Hospital and the Central District Clinic. Updated equipment will allow patients to receive better medical care.

— This year we planned to replace the old equipment of two medical organizations. The equipment has been installed and put into operation almost everywhere. For example, the installation for sterilization and storage of surgical instruments was replaced. Modern Holter, ultrasound and X-ray devices of an expert class were also purchased,” said Elena Levina, head of the Department of Health, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Levina explained that with the help of modern equipment, doctors will be able to make a more accurate diagnosis, as well as prescribe the correct treatment. In addition, modernized technology significantly reduces the examination time.

— The equipment that had been in operation for more than 10 years was replaced with modern equipment. The new equipment has higher resolution and accuracy. This allows our patients to reduce the time they receive medical care, as well as improve the quality of services provided,” added the head of the relevant department.

We wrote earlier that in addition to modernizing primary care, the purchase of equipment intended for people with cardiovascular diseases also continues. The NOB has already purchased a device for the rehabilitation treatment of patients after heart attacks and strokes.
