The Nenets Autonomous Okrug will host a presentation of the documentary film “Yamb to’ nu” (“Children of the Long Lake”)

The film will be shown on Thursday, October 12, at 19:00 at the Quantorium technology park. Free admission

How reported on the page of the Ethnocultural Center of the NAO VKontakte, the presentation of the film will take place as part of the regional holiday of Nenets culture “Sava syo”.

The film “Yamb to’ nu” (“Children of the Long Lake”) was prepared last year by Olga Latysheva, Zinaida Vlasova, Ilya Sakharov in within the framework of the EthnoRakurs project.

– Our colleagues went on an expedition to the Bolshezemelskaya tundra, met members of the community, lived with them for two weeks, studying the peculiarities of culture and life. And, of course, we became friends, so much so that now, when community members visit Naryan-Mar, they always come to see our Olga Efremovna. Our film will tell about this unique community, about its children who grew up in labor from childhood, about the traditions preserved by reindeer herders,” notes the ECC of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

At the presentation of the film, viewers will be able to communicate with the creators of the documentary film and ask their questions.

Earlier we wrote that “Yamb to’ nu” (“Children of the Long Lake”) reached the final of the VIII Film Festival of Finno-Ugric Peoples “Tuivezh” in the category “Best short documentary film among amateurs.”

In addition, the film was recognized as a laureate in the category “Best Documentary Film” and winner of the Diploma “Recognition of Colleagues” at the X Interregional Video Film Festival on Folk Art, Traditional Culture and Ethnography in Yoshkar-Ola.
