The ARCTIC OPEN for Children shortlist included 19 films from seven countries.

1228 works from 184 countries were submitted for consideration by the selection jury of the VII International Film Festival ARCTIC OPEN. Of these, 110 films fell into the “Films for Children and Youth” category

Finally shortlisted The film screening “ARCTIC OPEN for Children” included films from Russia, China, Peru, Denmark, Iran, Turkey and Italy. Full-length and short feature films for family viewing will be seen by viewers of the Arctic Film Festival from November 2 to 5 in Arkhangelsk, Novodvinsk and Konosha. All festival film events for spectators free.

The jury of the “ARCTIC OPEN for Children” program will be headed by the director of the original animation of the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, Tatyana Kiseleva. Last year at the film festival she presented the premiere episodes of the new “Umka”. Also on the judging committee are film director, screenwriter, producer Alexander Kott, actor theater and cinema, musician, composer Ivan Solovyov and Pinega poetess Varvara Zabortseva.

The winners will be determined in several categories: best film for children and youth, best director and best child actor, as well as a special mention by the jury.

Screenings will take place at the Mirage cinema Cinema” V shopping mall “Titan Arena” in Arkhangelsk. In Novodvinsk, the Druzhba cinema will be the venue for the film festival.

Traditionally, before the start of screenings in the regional center, the films will be watched by participants in the “Bolshoi” program. cinema – small villages” spectators of the Premier cinema hall in Konosha.

Free tickets for screenings will be available on the film festival’s website and social networks from October 15.

The shortlist of the main ARCTIC OPEN program, which will be held from December 7 to 10, will be announced by the organizers of the film festival at a press conference on October 25.

VII IFF Arcticopen is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and is included in the register of International Film Festivals of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The co-organizer of the project is the Northern (Arctic) Federal University.
