The “Umnik” competition is held by the Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Small Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere. The event is aimed at stimulating young people to innovate and create small innovative enterprises.
Anyone aged 18 to 30 can take part in the competition. The winners receive a grant of up to 500 thousand rubles for 24 months for research and development.
Applications are accepted until October 18, the final tests of the competition are scheduled for December 11, 2023.
— The competition has been taking place in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug since 2019. During the period of the competition, four projects in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug have already received grants in the amount of 500 thousand rubles. After completing the scientific work, you can go to the next stage and receive up to 4 million rubles for scientific development under the “START-1” program of the Innovation Promotion Fund, as the team of the project “Development of insecticidal products based on the essential oils of wild rosemary” plans to do, which received a grant in 2022,” said Elena Ermolina, regional representative of the Innovation Promotion Fund in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
