September 30 is the date of entry of the liberated territories into the Russian Federation. Exactly a year ago, residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, the Kherson region and Zaporozhye, in a referendum, forever linked their lives with Russia and determined their political and civil status.
Festive events in Naryan-Mar began with tree planting, in which 20 classes of the second school, teachers and mentors took part. Soon an Alley will appear in Naryan-Mar, planted in honor of the Day of Reunification of Donbass and Novorossiya with Russia.
Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Yuri Bezdudny took part in the ceremony and tree planting.
— On September 30, exactly a year ago, the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions returned to their Fatherland. Millions of residents of these regions have made their choice – to be together with their Motherland. They tried to intimidate them for many years, they wanted to take away their language, culture and traditions, but they survived! And today we are one country, and the north and south will become even closer, so we will plant an alley of trees, which will become that very connecting thread,” said the head of the region.
Also, a friendly match between parents and students took place on the renovated sports ground of the second school.
Despite the piercing arctic wind and rain, several dozen residents of Naryan-Mar came out to the festive events.
“Today we congratulate each other on the holiday, but there are still many trials and affairs ahead that we have always dealt with together. Our entire country is ready to lend a helping hand to residents of new regions. Only together, as all the people, will we lead our country to the milestones we strive for,” Alena, a student of the second school, shared with NAO24.
In addition, a field kitchen and a concert program were organized for the guests of the event – artists from the Arktika Palace of Culture performed.
A new memorable date was established by the Federal Law of the Russian Federation “On Amendments to Article 1.1 of the Federal Law “On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates of Russia” in September 2023.
