Hamas leader warns that war in Gaza will “destabilize entire region”

The leader of the political arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniye, warned this Thursday in a televised speech that the war in the Gaza Strip “will destabilize the entire region”, in reference to the possible involvement of other groups. armed in the conflict that would expand its dimension.

“The continuation of the aggression against Gaza will put the entire region out of control (…) The occupation will not be able to recover from the resounding defeat it suffered,” he declared, according to the Palestinian newspaper ‘Filastín’, linked to Hamas, in reference to the surprise attack carried out on October 7, which led to the death of nearly 1,400 people in Israeli territory.
