The Islamic State claims responsibility for the attacks in Iran in which 84 people died

The Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the double attack carried out on Wednesday in the Iranian city of Kerman during the commemorations of the fourth anniversary of the death of the general Qasem Soleimanikilled on January 3, 2020 in a US bombing in Iraq.

More than 80 people died in this attack, initially attributed to remote-controlled bombs but which, according to sources cited by the official IRNA news agency, was actually the work of suicide bombers. This has been determined by investigators in at least one of the explosions, after viewing the cameras in the area.

Iranian authorities have promised a forceful response against those responsible and the Islamic State has assumed responsibility in a statement released this Thursday through its propaganda channels and collected by the jihadist information monitoring portal SITE.
