Gabriel Attal becomes France’s youngest prime minister

The current Minister of Education of France, Gabriel Attal, was appointed this Tuesday by President Emmanuel Macron to replace Elisabeth Borne at the head of the Executive, making him the youngest prime minister in the country’s history.

At 34 years old, Attal, considered one of the most faithful collaborators of the president, a former socialist militant, is the most popular member of the current Government and will have the task of relaunching his action, after the adoption in the last year and a half of unpopular measures such as pension reform and immigration law.
