What products were the most popular among Russians this summer

In the summer of 2024, Russians spent most of their money in supermarkets, on household goods, and fast food. According to Russian Standard Bank, 31% of purchases were made in supermarkets, which is lower than the spring level (37%) and approximately at the winter level (32%). The average bill in the summer was 572 rubles, which is lower than in previous seasons.

Household goods accounted for 37% of purchases, which is higher than in spring (36%) and winter (27%). The average bill in this category increased to 3,676 rubles in summer due to demand for garden accessories, TASS writes.

Fast food took third place with 32% of all purchases, coinciding with the winter figure, but behind the spring one (36%). The average bill in fast food restaurants increased to 431 rubles in the summer.
