Realme Breaks Records in Ultra-Fast Charging Technology

Realme has been recognized for developing an innovative super-fast charging technology that allows a smartphone to be fully charged in just 4.5 minutes.

This impressive result was achieved not only thanks to the high power of the charger, which is 320 W, but also to the advanced battery design, which provides 10% more power compared to traditional batteries.

The charging adapter, called “Pocket Cannon”, attracts attention with its exceptional energy density of 3.3 watts per cubic centimeter. It is compatible with several popular fast charging standards, including UFCS, SuperVOOC, and PD. In the simultaneous charging mode, the adapter is capable of delivering up to 150 watts for smartphones and up to 65 watts for laptops. Moreover, the adapter is equipped with an air-gap transformer that can cut off the high voltage supply if any faults in the circuit are detected.

In China, there is a race among manufacturers to increase the speed of charging devices. However, production technologies are usually inferior to demonstration samples in terms of speed and power. This is likely because faster charging technologies can lead to overheating and shortened battery life, as well as increase the cost of devices.
