Big Teachers’ Week is a key event for the entire teaching community in Russia. It will be held from October 2 to October 8, reports press service of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
These days the results of all-Russian professional competitions among employees of the education system will be summed up. The Forum of Class Teachers will take place in the new format in Moscow, as well as a plenary session within the framework of the Congress of Rural School Teachers and a meeting of students – public opinion leaders of pedagogical universities.
The start of the Big Teachers’ Week will be given on the Day of Secondary Vocational Education, October 2, in Tula, where the award ceremony and summing up the results of the All-Russian competition among teaching staff of the secondary vocational education system “Master of the Year” will take place.
Traditionally, on Teacher’s Day, October 5, the State Kremlin Palace will host a ceremonial award ceremony for the winners of professional pedagogical competitions in 2023: the Teacher of the Year in Russia will receive the “Big Crystal Pelican”, the Director of the Year in Russia will be awarded the “Crystal Crystal”, and the Teacher of the Year in Russia will be awarded the “Crystal Pearl” . Awards will also be given to the winners of the competitions “Teacher-Psychologist of Russia”, “Teacher-Special Pathologist of Russia”, “Master of the Year”, “I Give My Heart to Children”, “First Teacher”.

The big teachers’ week will end with the All-Russian event “A Day with a Teacher and Mentor.”
— Every year, Big Teachers’ Week becomes the most interesting event in the lives of teachers and all workers in the education system. In the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, its program has expanded significantly and will cover representatives of all levels of education: teachers, educators, heads of educational organizations, educational advisers, production foremen, university teachers and students, as well as mentors from all regions. They will be able to exchange experiences and discuss best teaching practices. Specialized events will be held, including the Forum of Class Teachers, which will become a platform for many significant events of the Week. Traditionally, these days we will honor the winners and prize-winners of key professional competitions, including completely new ones. I am sure that the events will once again confirm how united and vibrant the pedagogical community is in our country,” commented the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kravtsov.
