Extreme sports are becoming increasingly popular among Russians

Russians love extreme recreation! The most popular extreme activity among Russians was diving, RIA Novosti reports.

In addition, alpine skiing and snowboarding are very popular, as well as “scary” rides, rope parks and rock climbing.

Zorbing and boxing are the least attractive to Russians.

Those who have not yet tried extreme activities want to do so. Men most often dream of jumping with a parachute, and women – of rope parks.

People are motivated to take extreme vacations by the thirst for new experiences, the desire to experience adrenaline, overcome fear and communicate with like-minded people.

Clarifications

Zorbing — an extreme attraction, a type of active recreation consisting of a person descending in a transparent ball — a zorb — from a mountain or associated with crossing bodies of water inside a similar ball. A variation of its application is running inside a zorb on a horizontal surface in the absence of a set of suspension systems.

Bocking (from the English bócking) is a developing type of extreme sport that uses special springy stilts – jumpers.
