The eleventh day of “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” (latest episode first via RTL+the following day on linear television on RTL) begins with the certainty that one of the stars has to leave the camp. In the disgusting test “Criminal Court”, Gigi Birofio (25) and Giulia Siegel (49) had not fulfilled their food quota the day before. Accordingly, the two start the day with stomachaches, while the others wonder how the departure of one of the two shaky candidates will change the tectonics of the group, which is split into two hostile camps. Or, to put it with Eric Stehfest (35): “Everything is decided today”.

Campers are taken by surprise by the decision to evict them

The episode begins with the nervous Julia another desperate charm offensive and apologizes to Kader Loth (51) for the previous arguments. She remains skeptical and doubts the sincerity of this apology.

After everyone initially assumes that “those up there”, RTL or even “God” will decide who gets kicked out, the campers are Jungle phone one after the other, they were surprised to hear that they had to decide immediately and without any consultation with the others who they thought should go. The result of this spontaneous round of voting was clear: only Georgina Fleur (34) chose Gigi, all the others – including Eric and Mola Adebisi (51), who are supposedly part of her camp faction – wanted Giulia to leave the camp. Her arch-enemy Elena Miras (32) was jubilant after her vote: “Eh, that was the best nomination ever!”

Reasoning session at the campfire

After this secret vote, team leader Eric the task of communicating the group decision. Equipped with two envelopes, he gathers the campers around the campfire. The first letter is for him: all the stars are to reveal who they have voted out and publicly explain their decision. While most of them justify their decision with constant conflicts and poor interpersonal chemistry, ex-Viva presenter Adebisi tries to explain his unexpected nomination by saying that he is merely worried about Giulia’s health. He noticed that she coughs a lot: “I thought that when you are out, you will be helped…”

In the second letter, the sad-looking Giulia is informed that she does not have to leave the camp immediately, but only the next morning. She reacts in shock: “What is this crap about, staying here one more day?” Giulia bursts into tears and is consoled. Together with Georgina she begs on the jungle phone to release her from the camp immediately. And if she has to stay, Georgina cleverly pleads that they should at least have an extra supply of cigarettes delivered to her in the camp – after all, Giulia now “doesn’t have to follow the rules anymore”.

“Better than sex”: Team Muscleman cooks dinner

After the initial excitement has died down, the ingredients for the meal are delivered, which this time is to be prepared by an all-male team consisting of Thorsten Legat (55), Eric and Gigi. After most of the arguments had so far been around the cooking pot – which was dominated by Giulia in particular – the men are happy about the “heavenly calm” of their culinary teamwork while preparing the impala fillets and vegetables. Their colleagues are completely delighted with their meal, which was produced without any arguments at all; even Giulia has nothing to complain about for once. The constantly hungry Gigi even thinks that this dinner was “better than sex”.

After Giulia has spent her last night, the presenters Jan Köppen (41) and Sonja Zietlow (56) come to the camp and release Giulia into freedom with the magical words “You are a star – get yourself out of here”. Giulia regrets not being able to continue her “path to becoming a great legend”, but then calmly and without tears says goodbye to the remaining nine jungleStars.

Without further ado, the candidates for the next jungle test, the “Laber-inth of Horror”, are then determined. The gifted chatterboxes Georgina, Kader and Sarah Knappig (37) volunteer and – despite all the previous bickering – immediately present themselves as a harmonious and highly motivated power trio.

Before they can take the test, they are told that good communication with each other will be essential in the “Laber-inth of Terror”. One of the ladies has to stay outside as the “brain” of the group and guide the others through the labyrinth one after the other. As Dr. Bob (74) explains to them, the test subjects are not allowed to move upright, but only on all fours. While Sarah Knappig takes the position of the “brain”, the intrepid Georgina Fleur is the first to crawl into the muddy maze filled with crocodiles.

With five stars and screaming back to camp

As expected, despite all the good intentions, the first shouting starts after just a few meters because Georgina doesn’t like Sarah’s military commanding tone (“Don’t talk to me like that!”). As Georgina doesn’t follow Sarah’s instructions and crawls through the labyrinth as she pleases, the communication situation escalates. Despite this, Georgina manages to collect five of the nine stars, but unfortunately Kader now has little time left to collect her stars. The three campers spend the remaining minutes discussing in front of the map of the “Laber-inth”.

Showdown of the jungle bitches

The argument finally breaks out on the way back to camp: Kader is insulted because she was not given the opportunity to collect stars herself and now looks like a “loser” in front of the others. In her anger, she accuses Georgina of being calculated – she only wanted to get all the glory for herself during the test. When Sarah makes the same unfair remark, Georgina finally has enough. With the juicy words “Okay, you know what? Take the stars and f*** off!” and other rude insults on her lips, she makes a dramatic exit. Back in the camp, no one understands the excitement – after all, five stars is a passable result.

Whether the campers, who continue to argue labyrinthinely until the end of the show, will become friends again after this showdown remains to be seen in the next few days.
