Nutritionist Ludmila Nikityuk warned of the potential risks of drinking cold coffee. She noted that drinks with a temperature below 12 degrees can cause vascular spasms, slowing down digestion, which is fraught with constipation and dysbacteriosis.

The expert recommends drinking a glass of warm water after cold coffee to minimize the negative effects. Lyudmila also pointed out the risks to teeth: cold and ice cause microcracks, contributing to the development of caries.

Cold brew coffee often resembles a high-calorie dessert, including cream, syrups and sugar, which can lead to blood sugar spikes and increased appetite, increasing the likelihood of overeating and weight gain.
