The coastal cleaning vessels of the Ministry of the Sea and the Water Cycle have collected a total of 1,613.73 kilos of waste in Menorca during the month of Julywith a daily average of 52.06 kilos.
In addition, during this month the cleaning services have also carried out various exceptional performances on the Islandsuch as the removal of several logs and the management of a concentration of plastic.
6.7 tons in the Balearic Islands
In the autonomous community as a whole, the Ministry has removed a total of 6,701.83 kilograms of waste, with a daily average of 216.19 kilos. Plastic has been the predominant wasterepresenting 50.84 percent of the total, followed by wood, with 30.56 percent, and vegetation, with 8.43 percent.
This clean-up campaign has continued with the Collaboration of beach and coastal vesselsand will run until September 30.
