Auto expert Antufiev listed five crossovers with reliable CVTs

Variators installed on crossovers of such brands as Honda, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi are known for their high reliability, reported Valery Antufievhead of the wheeled vehicle evaluation department of the Alfa-Leasing group of companies.

Antufiev noted that one of the most durable is the Honda BRJA variator, which has been installed on the Honda CR-V crossover since 2017. This unit is an improved version of the previous model and is reliable, which makes it a good choice for owners.

The expert also singled out the Subaru TR580 variators, known as Lineartronic, which are installed on the Subaru Forester, Impreza and XV models. These units are famous for their reliability and long service life.

Among other reliable CVTs, Antufiev mentioned the Toyota K112 manufactured by Aisin, which was used on the Toyota RAV4 until 2019. In addition, he noted the Jatco CVTs installed on the Nissan Murano (model JF010E) and Mitsubishi Outlander (model JF011E), which have also proven themselves to be reliable units.
