The photo competition is held as part of the All-Russian campaign “Feed the Birds!”, which runs from October 1 to March 15

The purpose of the photo competition is to attract people’s attention to the world of birds, the problems of preserving their habitats and nature conservation in general. No more than five works from one participant are accepted for the competition; no more than two photographs can be submitted in one category. The photo must necessarily show a bird on the feeder or near it.
As stated on the page Museum Association of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug On VKontakte, amateur photographers can try themselves in four categories:
- good shot (interesting plot);
- rare bird;
- collective portrait (photo with the largest number of birds at the feeder);
- variety of birds (photos with the largest number of bird species at the feeder).
There are no age restrictions.
— We invite everyone. The winners and runners-up in each category will receive prizes. The award ceremony will take place on April 4, 2024 as part of the opening of the “Birds at the Feeder” photo exhibition. It will feature the best photographs that participated in the competition, noted the Museum Association.
Reception of works will be carried out online. To participate, you must send a photo by email to naturenao@yandex.ru (indicating “Photo competition” in the subject line). It is also necessary to indicate the author’s full name, contact information, nomination, title of the photographic work, a brief history of creation (place and time of photographing, personal impressions, etc.).
