The day before, 8 boxes of venison stew and personal hygiene items, which were purchased by members of the Council of War and Labor Veterans of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, were delivered to the humanitarian aid collection point at the #WETOGETHER headquarters.

“We raised money and decided to buy venison stew, because the soldiers asked for our products – they have pork and beef there, but they couldn’t get it from deer anywhere. We also purchased towels and wet wipes. I think this is the most necessary thing. We, as mothers and grandmothers, want our children to be clean and well-fed. This is a guarantee of health,” says Tatyana Orlova, Chairman of the Council of War and Labor Veterans of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

These are not the first parcels that the District Council of War and Labor Veterans will give to the participants of the Northern Military District.

“As soon as we started seeing the guys off, we knew that they needed our support. Our veterans gladly responded to the offer to help with money, food or basic necessities. Our grandmothers knitted a lot of socks, we probably sent tons of them. They have knitted and are still knitting camouflage nets. A huge amount of work has been, is and continues,” says Tatyana Orlova.

The parcels will be sent to the SVO area early next week.
